Suicide bombers have attacked Uganda’s capital Kampala. Three attackers on motorbikes blew themselves up outside parliament and the city’s police headquarters, killing at least three people and wounding more than 30. The death toll is being updated
The blasts reportedly took place in the heart of Kampala at three-minute intervals. Among the dead are two policemen. Thirty-three people were injured and five are in critical condition.
Officials say more bombs have been found in other parts of the city. Police reported the arrest of a fourth attacker, who was found in possession of a suicide belt with explosives. Sessions in parliament were cancelled and MPs were advised not to enter the building. Cars parked near the parliament building caught fire and another explosion blew out windows at the police station.
