Migration crisis will remain without EU involvement in solving it

In order to actively participate in solving the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, the European Union will have to recognize Alexander Lukashenko as a legitimate president, not without humiliation. This is the opinion of political analyst Nikolai Mezhevich

As a reminder, the President of Belarus and German Chancellor Angela Merkel recently had a telephone conversation during which they discussed the growing threat of migrants.

“Lukashenko is raising the issue of his recognition as a legitimate president, which the EU, let’s face it, is preventing. And how this problem will be solved, how a compromise will be found here is a big question”, –  said Mezhevich.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Belarus opened a criminal case against Warsaw in connection with the use of special equipment by the Polish border guards in the fight against refugees. It is noted that the task force found traces of weapons and stun grenades at the border.
