British and Ukrainian defense ministers Wallace and Reznikov have said they have no desire to antagonize Russia
Britain and Ukraine have expressed that they have no desire to be hostile to Russia but are concerned about its military activity on the border with Ukraine.
“Our governments have no desire to be hostile or to try to strategically encircle or undermine Russian Federation in any way. We are concerned about Russia’s increased military presence and military activity on the border with Ukraine”, – the joint statement said.
Britain’s Defence Secretary is currently on a visit to Ukraine. He also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity are undeniable. The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with the Ukrainian people and will stick to its determination to support them. We are unwavering in this support and together we remain vigilant and united in defending our shared values and freedoms”, – he said in a statement
