The Russian side continues to provide support to the residents of Syria. The Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of the Hostile Parties has helped deliver medication and equipment to hospitals in the south of the country
The Russian Federation’s Centre for the Reconciliation of the Participating Parties (CPRC) has helped deliver medical supplies and equipment to hospitals in the south of the country, Izvestia reported. In October, the CPRC was approached by local authorities and asked to help resolve their problem. The Russians promptly responded to the request and sent a large humanitarian cargo to the village of Busra. That’s where the biggest flow of patients from all the surrounding areas of Deraa province goes.
“It is a very difficult time. There is a shortage of doctors and medicine. We need help very badly. Most of all we need the equipment to conduct tests. Because most of the patients we have right now have the coronavirus,” said doctors at the local hospital.
The two tonnes relief shipment included essential medicines and dozens of boxes of antiseptics. The medics said they can operate safely for the next two to three months. And Dmitry Omutnykh, chairman of the Association of Healthcare Importers and Exporters, stressed that they would increase supplies to Syria.
