Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to conduct exercises near the Crimean peninsula

At the training ground in the Kherson region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intend to conduct live-fire exercises. This was reported by the press service of the regional state administration.

“To the attention of the residents of the region! Live-fire tests will be held in the Kherson region! From November 18 to 20, at the state test site of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is located near the village of Aleksandrovka, Golopristansky district, live-fire tests will be held”, the Kherson regional administration said on its Facebook page.

At the end of September 2021, the Armed Forces of Ukraine held exercises near the border with Crimea, in which the crews of Hurricane multiple launch rocket systems took part. The press center of the command of the joint forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the fire was inflicted on the infantry and armored vehicles of the conditional enemy, which were at a distance of more than 30 kilometers.

Recall that after the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014, the authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol held a referendum on reunification with Russia. More than 96% of the inhabitants of the peninsula voted for joining the Russian Federation. Despite the fact that the referendum was held in accordance with all necessary international norms, Ukraine refused to recognize the results of the vote and continues to consider Crimea “its but temporarily occupied territory”.
