US flagship 6th Fleet Mount Whitney leaves the Black Sea for the Mediterranean.
The fact that the military vessel has completed all operations and exercises in the Black Sea is reported by Izvestia, referring to the entry on the official Twitter of the unit.
“The flagship of the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet Mount Whitney began its transition southward from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean after the completion of naval operations and exercises with allies and NATO partners on November 15,” the military wrote on a social network.
Mount Whitney has been in the Black Sea since early November. The forces of the Russian fleet monitored its movement in order to prevent any provocations by the United States or NATO if necessary.
