The upcoming meeting with the Russian leader will be the 19th in a row over the past seven years, for which Alexander Vucic is very grateful to him.
“We, of course, talk among ourselves in the region. And great leaders take time. But I will now meet with President Putin for the 19th time. Imagine this is the 19th time that President Putin found time for the President or Prime Minister of Serbia. 19 times in the last seven years. How much energy he put into relations with Serbia. Endless gratitude to him for that, we really appreciate it”, Vucic said in an exclusive interview for the YouTube channel Soloviev Live.
Every meeting with Putin is very important for Serbia, said Vucic.
“I know that President Putin will allocate an hour, maybe a little more time. But for us it means more, these are days, days, many days of preparation. And we understand everything, and many thanks for the time that he finds, and for the respect he shows to our country”, he stressed.
