The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in response to London’s attacks due to the influx of refugees on the border of Belarus and the EU, recalled the “carefully designed invasion” of Great Britain in Iraq.
Earlier, British Foreign Minister Liz Truss blamed Moscow for the migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border and called on it to put pressure on Minsk to end the problem.
“Forty-five thousand British soldiers helped the United States to occupy this country (Iraq – ed.), kill its citizens and plunder the bowels of the earth. Britain bears a clear historical responsibility for everything that has happened in the region since that moment – the death of Iraqis, the destruction of Iraqi statehood, endless flows of refugees, the emergence of ISIS*, humanitarian disasters in this part of the world. And until London answers for its crimes, its officials have no right to accuse anyone”, the diplomat wrote on her Telegram channel.
