Russia has begun to supply India with S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), said the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, RIA Novosti reported.
“The supplies of equipment for the S-400 air defense system for India have begun and are proceeding on schedule,” he said.
Russia and India signed a contract for the supply of the S-400 in October 2018. Five regimental sets of systems will cost Delhi $5.43 billion. India has become the third foreign buyer of these complexes after China and Turkey.
