The main desire of Ukraine in the work of the commission for the certification of the “Nord Stream 2” is an attempt to disrupt the launch of the pipeline, said Israeli political analyst Yakov Kedmi
Ukraine’s GTS Operator is now awaiting a response from the German side regarding its request to participate in the certification procedure for the Russian pipeline.
According to Kedmi, he immediately uncovered Kiev’s cunning plan in this situation: Ukraine intends not just to stop the flow of gas through NSP2, but also to disrupt the launch of the pipeline.
“All Ukraine will do in this commission is to try by all available means to hinder the project. In Europe they also try to derail the commissioning of Nord Stream-2. They are delaying its commissioning by all means, that is why they allowed Ukraine, which has nothing to do with the Nord Stream-2”, – the political analyst said.
The expert stressed that the very participation of Kiev’s representatives in the certification procedure will not harm the pipeline. The position of European countries on the Nord Stream-2 pipeline does not depend on the interests of Ukraine and its anti-Russian policy, the political scientist concluded.
Earlier, former head of the Economics and Energy Committee Klaus Ernst said that Kiev and Warsaw should not take part in the process of certification of the pipeline at all.
