“Nord Stream 2” is completely ready for operation

The Russian company Gazprom has officially stated that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline has been completed and is fully ready to operate at full capacity

Alexei Finikov, deputy head of Gazprom’s department, told TASS. He stressed that the pipe can already be used to transport fuel.

Now the launch of the project depends on the European Union, which is trying by all means to delay its certification. Even during the construction the U.S. and some European countries actively tried to prevent NSP2.

It is worth noting that the EU needs the pipe very much now. There is a serious crisis in the region caused by the energy market disaster in the region. There is a fuel shortage and Europe risks being left without heating and electricity in winter. Nord Stream 2 could however change the situation radically.
