Ruslan Edelgeriev, special envoy of the President of the Russian Federation, will meet next week with his American counterpart John Kerry in Glasgow, Scotland, where the COP26 climate conference is being held.

RIA Novosti was informed about this by a representative of Edelgeriev.

According to him, the special representatives also met the day before and discussed the reduction of methane emissions, bilateral cooperation on climate and expectations from COP26.

“Another meeting is scheduled for next week in Glasgow,” he said, adding that the agenda of the meeting is still being worked out.

The US President’s special envoy for climate issues, John Kerry, said on Friday that he had discussed with the Russian delegation at the climate conference in Glasgow the reduction of methane emissions and other issues.
