Georgian State Security Service says Saakashvili plans a coup

The ex-president of Georgia from prison gives instructions to opposition leaders with the aim of overthrowing the country’s government by violent means.

The Georgian opposition announced on November 6 the start of permanent protests in front of the Rustavi prison, where the politician is imprisoned. They will demand that he be admitted to a civilian clinic.

According to the state security service, certain political groups plan to block state institutions, in particular, the parliament of Georgia, the government apparatus, the presidential administration, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as block the access roads to the penitentiary.

The organizers of the rally are also actively considering the possibility of enticing law enforcement officials and eliminating one of the opposition leaders, the report said.
