Biden urgently needs to divert his attention from the climate agenda to Moscow and its “aggressive actions” toward Kiev
US Republican Senator Tom Cotton stated in an article for the Wall Street Journal.
Senator Cotton again referred to the information previously denied by the Kremlin about the military forces being deployed on the Russian border and hastened to declare the European fuel crisis as the Kremlin’s desire to cut off the gas flow and thus use its influence on the energy market for political purposes, although previously Gazprom had confirmed an increase in fuel exports to Europe.
The American politician was not happy with Joe Biden’s reaction to what was happening. Once again, supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons and isolating Russia from the global financial market were cited as necessary measures.
“If Biden doesn’t want another geopolitical disaster to follow Afghanistan, he should take some immediate steps to contain Russia and force Putin into a defensive posture”, – Cotton said.
Wall Street Journal readers disagreed with the author’s view of Russian aggression, but allowed that many of the American president’s decisions raise doubts about his competence.
“What ‘invasion’ are we talking about, this is a ‘crisis’. Please stop calling it an ‘invasion’, it could provoke extremist violence… Oh, wait! My bad, you’re talking about the Ukrainian border. Keep it up!” – user Charles Meissner reminded the basic difference between Russia and US political coverage.
HARRY BROERTJES wrote that Biden is not a leader, he is not a thinker, he is just a wingman. He is no more concerned about the future of Ukraine than Hunter is, he can’t foresee the game three or four moves ahead. He is playing checkers, not chess.
“The article is called ‘Russia – Biden’s next foreign policy test’, but should have been called ‘Russia – Biden’s next foreign policy failure’. The Biden administration is actually President Obama’s third term”, – Darnell Williams is convinced.
