Oleg Gaidukevich, deputy head of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the lower house of the Belarusian parliament, said that the Western sanctions pressure had accelerated the processes of Russia-Belarus integration
“In terms of geopolitics I would like to “thank” our Western partners for imposing sanctions against Belarus and Russia and the hybrid war it has opened against us, because it has accelerated the integration process and helped us to solve many issues that we failed to solve earlier. More sanctions and we will further strengthen the integration and sovereignty of both Belarus and Russia”, – said Gaidukevich, summing up the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
According to the deputy head, he “has always been convinced that integration strengthens the sovereignty and statehood of both Belarus and Russia and makes them stronger.
