US concerned about Turkey’s S-400 systems

At the G20 summit in Rome on October 30-31, United States President Joe Biden told Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan of his concerns over Ankara’s use of Russian S-400 air defence systems

“President Biden reaffirmed our partnership and the importance of Turkey as a NATO partner. At the same time, at this meeting, the president conveyed to the Turkish leader our concerns about the fact that Turkey has Russian S-400 systems”, –  Price told the G20 summit.

As a reminder, the Russian Federation and Turkey signed a contract for a regiment set of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems in 2017; deliveries to the Turkish side were made back in 2019.
