Ukrainians outraged by inaction of authorities amid gas shortage in the country

Ukrainians are already complaining about the lack of fuel for home heating, although winter has not yet started and frosts have not reached the country

But the utility bills have already been affected by this: the sums in them have become even higher. This is reported by portal 112.

The head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, MP Viktor Medvedchuk commented on the situation and noted that the current regime is still inactive and is not fighting the gas crisis in any way.

In the programme Chuyemo Kozhnyy, Ukrainians commented on the decision of the authorities to refuse a favourable contract for gas supplies from Russia. It was negotiated by Medvedchuk at the time.

“I do not believe that Ukraine will survive this winter without problems. But I have heard that the Cabinet of Ministers has forbidden to cut off gas and light. I certainly want to believe it”, –  said a woman from Kherson.

The Kiev citizen, in his turn, said that the country’s leadership is obviously not prepared for the heating season. A pensioner from the capital admitted that he is forced to heat his house with wood, as there is no gas.

Ukrainians stressed that life in the country had divided into two realities. One reality is inhabited by ordinary citizens who have to exist in conditions of disaster. The other reality is inhabited by officials, who enjoy everything well and do not think about everyday problems.
