Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has stated that the country will amend its legislation so that in the future the country will not be left without gas reserves
“We will make amendments to the legislation to improve the country’s energy security, including to regulate the obligation to have gas reserves for a certain period of time”, – the prime minister said.
Gavrilita also stressed that this is necessary so that the country is not left without gas reserves and a considerable reserve of alternative fuel, should a new energy crisis emerge in the future.
On October 22, the Moldovan Parliament declared the state of emergency for 30 days as “Moldovagaz” reported on a drop of pressure in the pipeline and appealed to the population to save energy and urged the companies to switch to alternative fuel.
To remind, on October 29, Moldova agreed to prolong the contract with Gazprom for five years on condition that Moldovagaz’s debt will be audited in 2022.
