Black Sea Fleet forces monitor movement of USS Mount Whitney

The US flagship command ship Mount Whitney has entered the Black Sea. It will take part in joint operations with allies and NATO partners

This was reported by the Korrespondent newspaper, citing a statement by the National Defence Management Centre of the Russian Federation.

“The forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet have started monitoring the actions of the US Navy staff ship Mount Whitney, which entered the waters of the Black Sea on November 4,” the military said.

Russian ships will monitor the actions of the Americans in the Black Sea and will not allow provocations on the part of the US Navy. Russian representatives have repeatedly pointed out that the presence of US military vessels in the region has a negative impact on regional stability and security.
