The Sevmash shipyard will hand over two nuclear submarines to the Russian Navy next year: a strategic one and a strike submarine. This was reported to the TASS agency by a source close to the Russian military department.
“The existing plans for 2022 provide for the transfer to the fleet of one ‘strategist’ – the strategic nuclear submarine missile cruiser Generalissimus Suvorov – and one ‘striker’ – the multipurpose nuclear submarine Krasnoyarsk”, – said the source of the agency.
According to TASS, by the end of this year, Sevmash will transfer three nuclear submarines to the Russian Navy: Prince Oleg of project 955A, Novosibirsk of project 885M and special-purpose submarine Belgorod, a carrier of Poseidon super torpedoes.
Earlier, military analysts at the Chinese edition of NetEast noted that Russia is capable of responding to any provocations in the Black Sea. According to Ivan Konovalov, Development Director of the Foundation for Assistance to Technologies of the XXI Century, the United States may try to arrange a provocation at the Russian borders in the Black Sea.
