EU to impose new sanctions against Belarus in November

Brussels has conceived a package of new sanctions against Minsk. The European Union may approve them in mid-November.

Portal 112 reports about it, referring to the correspondent of “Polish Radio” in Brussels Beata Plometskaya, who managed to get acquainted with the EU documents.

The European Union calls the main reason for its decision the problem of migrants, the responsibility for which it is trying to shift onto Minsk, which is allegedly using them to destabilize the situation in the EU.

The foreign ministers of the European Union and the leaders of the participating countries have already approved the new sanctions. Restrictive measures will also affect the Belarusian airline Belavia. Its planes may be banned from landing at European airports and flying over EU countries.
