The well-being of almost 56% of Ukrainian citizens has deteriorated over the past two years, according to a poll conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.
“55.9% of the respondents noted that over the past two years, the financial situation of their families has deteriorated; a third of the respondents (35.3%) answered that it has not changed, and 7.5% believe that it has improved”, the message says.
The main reason for economic problems in Ukraine, respondents most often named incompetence of the authorities – 39.1%, a high level of corruption – 35.4%, the coronavirus pandemic – 10.1% and the conflict in Donbass – 10%.
Speaking about the crisis in the energy sector, excessive prices, critical shortage of gas and coal reserves, 37.5% of respondents named the main reason for them corruption of the authorities, 36.8% – the incompetence of the authorities, and13.7% consider the situation on the world gas markets to be the main reason and coal.
The opinion poll was carried out by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from October 23 to October 27 using a telephone survey. 1200 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of Donbass.
