President Joe Biden’s attitude towards Russia is becoming friendlier. This opinion is expressed by political scientist Sergei Markov
According to the political scientist, this is indicated by the communication between the heads of state, which turns out to be more constructive than expected.
“There is such a deep state in the U.S., putting all its efforts to bring Russia into open confrontation. But Biden, with his vast experience, does remember the times when our country was a strong, great power. He understands that conflicts with Russia will not do any good. Besides, he feels a personal responsibility for the preservation of the dialogue, and that’s why his views and the views of the deep state are different”, – Markov said.
At the same time Markov added that despite the fact that the change of the American leader’s attitude towards Russia is positive, it still does not help to solve foreign policy problems.
