The “Unbreakable Brotherhood 2021” peacekeeping exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) countries will be held on the territory of Russia from November 8 to 12
This was reported to journalists on Monday by the exercise’s Joint Press Centre.
“A group of troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO will practice the tasks of preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces at the range of the Kazan Higher Tank Command of the Order of Zhukov Red Banner School”, – the press centre of the exercise said.
The main tasks will be to improve the skills of the CSTO Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) command and control of troops. It is also planned to improve the coherence of military units and subunits comprising the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
Practical actions will be practised at a roadblock, tasks in a refugee camp, escorting humanitarian convoys, blockading a populated area, storming a building occupied by “militants”, and freeing “hostages” and assisting the victims.
The exercise will involve military contingents from the organisation’s countries, military police units, task forces from the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat, units from the internal affairs agencies, national guards, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Mongolia, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organisations, have been invited to the final stage of the exercise.
