Iran believes the U.S. and Israel were responsible for the cyber attack that caused disruptions in the supply of fuel to Iranian gas stations
This was stated by the head of the Civil Defense Organization of Iran, Gholamreza Jalili, reports Izvestia. He supervises cyber security in the country. He noted that the investigation is ongoing, but the main suspects have already been named.
“We still cannot say in terms of forensic expertise, but in terms of analysis I believe it was done by the Zionist regime, the Americans and their agents”, – Jalili stressed.
The cyberattack occurred on October 26. It caused gas stations in different parts of Iran to malfunction. They did not receive fuel, leading to long queues at the filling stations. Government networks linked to fuel subsidies were hit. They are used by the country’s citizens because of economic hardship in Iran.
