Electricity supplies from Russia and Belarus to Ukraine halted

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Energy Committee, Andriy Gerus, has said that there will be no electricity imports from Russia and Belarus from November 1, he said on Telegram

According to Gerus, Inter RAO announced an auction for electricity on October 20, but on October 21 the auction was canceled and was not held in Belarus.

It is also noted that according to the Ministry of Energy, on the day before, the guaranteed stocks of coal at the warehouses of seven thermal power plants were not observed, in particular, at Kurakhovskaya TPP, Zaporizhska TPP, Prydniprovska TPP, Zmiivska TPP, Uglegorska TPP, Tripoli TPP, Slavyanska TPP.

“Guaranteed coal reserves are the minimum reserves that must be complied with in accordance with the conditions of the licensing activity. In total there were 675 thousand tons of coal in the warehouses of TPPs and TPPs as of yesterday”, –  Gerus added.
