In Donbass, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who did not receive the promised payments, left their positions. A group of 16 soldiers deserted.
This is reported by the “Lugansk Information Center”, referring to the official representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR Ivan Filiponenko.
“From a source at the headquarters of the occupation forces, we received information about the arrival of the commander of the OOS (Lieutenant General Alexander) Pavlyuk at the 30th brigade (AFU) to conduct proceedings on the fact of non-observance of orders and unauthorized abandonment of positions by servicemen of the 3rd battalion in the area populated point Mironovsky”, he said.
The soldiers refused to follow orders and left the stronghold. They fled in an unknown direction, taking their standard weapons with them. The soldiers had not received a salary for a long time, as a result, their patience ran out and they left the duty station.
The search for deserters is carried out by members of the military law enforcement service and the National Guard. They search the nearest settlements.
