The Ukrainian Armed Forces have used Turkish Bayraktar drones in Donbass for the first time, the press centre of the General Staff said on Facebook
According to the source, the commander-in-chief of the AFU Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny ordered the use of reconnaissance and strike drone system Bayraktar.
According to the AFU General Staff, “from 14.35 to 15.15 Ukrainian servicemen were under fire from a battery of D-30 howitzers. During the shelling, one Ukrainian soldier died and another was wounded, which caused the use of Bayraktar.
Also, Ukrainian media reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had used drones to shell the village of Hranitne in Donbas.
The Donetsk people’s republic reported that the Ukrainian side attempted to occupy Staromariyivka, which was located on the line of contact. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have not confirmed this information.
