Turkish President Recep Erdogan is set to meet his US counterpart Joe Biden at a climate conference in Scotland
This was reported by ANADOLU agency on its Twitter page. The event will take place in Glasgow on November 1.
“Turkish President Erdogan plans to meet with US President Biden in Glasgow at the COP26 conference”, – the report said.
Journalists note that the main topic of the meeting between the two leaders will be F-35 fighter jets. Ankara had previously paid $1.4 billion for them, but did not receive the planes. The United States may offer the F-16s in return.
Biden and Erdogan had earlier planned a meeting in Rome. The G-20 summit will be held there in late October. But apparently it was not organised in time and had to be rescheduled for November.
