Over the past day, 19.1 thousand new cases of COVID-19 and 734 deaths were detected in Ukraine, which is the largest indicator since the beginning of the pandemic, RIA Novosti reports, citing data from the country’s Ministry of Health.
The department’s Facebook page says that as of Tuesday, during the entire pandemic, 2.8 million citizens were diagnosed with coronavirus, of which 2.39 million recovered, 64.9 thousand people died.
In total, more than 16 million vaccinations have been made in Ukraine, more than seven million citizens have completely completed vaccinations.
To combat the spread of infection, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the “adaptive” quarantine in the regions until December 31. This model provides for restrictions in certain areas. Four zones of epidemiological danger have been introduced: “green”, “yellow”, “orange” and “red”.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on a petition about responsibility for compulsion to vaccinations.
