On October 25, several ministers and officials were arrested in Sudan. According to preliminary data, the military blocked bridges and entrances to the capital, surrounded the house of Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk and placed him under house arrest, Izvestia reports.
It is noted that among the detainees are the ministers of communications, information, finance, and industry. The governor of Khartoum and one of the representatives of the ruling sovereign council in the country were also detained. The arrests continue.
During the military coup, the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, found itself without mobile communications and the Internet, and there is no fixed telephone connection either.
In the morning, opponents of the military coup took to the streets of the Sudanese capital. People who do not agree with the violent seizure of power and with the actions of the country’s military began to burn tires.
Later, the chairman of the Council of Sovereignty, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, is expected to make a statement explaining what is happening in the country.
