The terrorist group Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the explosion at a power plant in Afghanistan
The incident left the country’s capital without electricity, it was reported by Khaama Press. The terrorists said they had orchestrated the attack on the power plant.
The blast occurred north-west of the Afghan capital. It left Kabul and several other provinces of the country without electricity. The militants blew up the poles of the transmission lines which were located in the north of the city. Khaama Press sources said power would be restored by Saturday evening.
Earlier, the Home Ministry said it had detained three people suspected in the attack. However, law enforcers did not specify whether they were affiliated with the IS
