Media: US Air Force spy plane flies over Korean peninsula

Experts do not rule out that the plane was observing North Korean military activity following an earlier launch of a South Korean launch vehicle

A US Air Force RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft flew over the inter-Korean border on Friday, flying from the west coast to the east coast. This was reported by KBS TV channel, citing data from online portal Flightradar24.

Experts interviewed by the TV channel believe the plane was observing DPRK military activity after the launch of a South Korean carrier rocket a day earlier.

The last time an aircraft of this model appeared in the sky over the Korean Peninsula was in late September, when Pyongyang tested a hypersonic missile.
