London negotiates supply of Brimstone missiles to Kiev

According to The Times, such precision-guided missiles can be equipped with Ukrainian ships

The article notes that the UK Ministry of Defence is discussing with the Ukrainian side the delivery of Brimstone missiles developed by the British unit of the international consortium MBDA.

The article also noted that London is discussing with Kiev the possibility of installing the Brimstone missiles costing about 100,000 pounds ($138,000) each on Ukrainian aircraft. Similar missiles have previously been used by the British Royal Air Force during military operations in Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. The website of the developer states that the range of targets that can hit these missiles, which weigh 50kg and are 1.8m long, varies from fast moving and manoeuvring vehicles, to tanks, bunkers and ships.

Citing the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, the publication reports that such a sale of missiles to Kiev, if an agreement is reached, would be a first for the UK.
