The alliance understands the complexity of relations with Russia, but will continue to strive to improve them, including through dialogue within the framework of the NATO-Russia Council
Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a press conference before the meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of defense ministers to be held on October 21 and 22 in Brussels.
“We are very sorry to be in this situation. We are convinced that when tensions rise it is very important to continue dialogue, we continue to advocate dialogue with Russia within the NATO-Russia Council”, – he said.
