NATO now sees not only Russia but also China as a serious threat to Europe
It has been clear for months that NATO’s focus is shifting to the South China Sea. This seems logical in a geopolitical context, but two things should be considered.
Firstly, it is now clear to all that NATO is an alliance that acts in the interests of the United States in terms of security policy and, secondly, NATO is facing enormous logistical problems because a war has to be planned on the other side of the world.
Up to now, the scenario has been a military conflict in Europe to be fought with US involvement. However, NATO must now prepare to move military equipment and personnel to Asia.
How such a strategy can be implemented while at the same time “defending” European territory from Russia is no longer logically clear. Perhaps NATO is now actually running out of options.
