Covid “defeated”: queue of hearse cars formed at Kiev crematorium

The number of covid deaths in Ukraine in recent days reaches 500 per day, said the chairman of the Rada committee on the health of the nation, Mikhail Radutsky

“Ukraine currently has an average of more than 18,000 covid cases per day. Ukraine is now the second country, unfortunately, on top of the number of dead <…> 495 people died in the past 24 hours, more than 500 people died the day before. The queue to the Kiev crematorium today from the hearse is about two hours”, –  Radutsky said.

According to the Ministry of Health, as many as 18,912 new confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in Ukraine per day. As many as 5,468 persons have been hospitalized and 7,605 persons have recovered. 495 patients have died. During the pandemic 2 679 185 people became ill in the country, 2 344 799 people recovered and 61 843 people died from complications of the disease.

As many as 226,587 Ukrainians have been vaccinated against the bacillus in the past 24 hours – the first time the number of people vaccinated in 24 hours has exceeded 200,000. 142,141 people received the first dose and 84,446 people completed two doses. Since the start of the vaccination campaign 8,207,901 people have been given their first dose against COVID-19 and 6,658,010 have been fully vaccinated.
