The UN recognises that foreign leaders have criticised the organisation from time to time and it needs to adapt to changes in the world. Deputy spokesman of the world organization’s Secretary-General Farhan Haq said at a briefing on Tuesday, commenting on Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks that the UN cannot meet the challenges of the times
“I have no comment. <…> Various governments and leaders may from time to time criticise the way the UN functions. We ourselves [understand] the need to adapt to changes in the world”, – he said when asked by TASS.
