The head of the US Department of Defense, Lloyd Austin, will visit Europe on October 16-17 and will visit Ukraine, the Pentagon press service reported.
The head of the Pentagon is to meet with Zelensky and Taran to discuss the implementation of defense reform in Ukraine with them.
According to media reports, Lloyd Austin intends to reaffirm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
“The visit will also serve as an opportunity to discuss Ukraine’s progress in implementing reforms in the defense and defense industry, necessary for the country’s advancement and entry into NATO, as well as regional cooperation between the Black Sea allies and partners,” it was reported.
