The US has decided to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine. The decision was taken after the unsuccessful tests of the Javelin anti-tank missile system at the Yavoriv training ground in Lviv
This was reported by SM News portal, citing a statement by military expert Viktor Baranets. In his opinion, the main problem is the quality of the weapons which are transferred to Kiev.
Washington is decommissioning the equipment and it is necessary to get rid of it. Instead of handing them over for disposal, they are sent to Ukraine as military aid for a “partner”.
“The Americans tried to teach AFU fighters how to fire Javelin APCs. Obsolete missiles need to be prepared with special technology. After the first shot, the missile fell four metres from the shooter. Fortunately, it was a training missile. Then everybody was frightened. And the Yanks locked up the Javelin in storehouses. The dangerous embarrassment forced the USA to stop supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine altogether”, – the expert said.
It is worth noting that the APCs sent by the USA were locked in a warehouse. Military personnel are not even allowed to approach the weapons.
