Joint Russian-Chinese naval exercises “Maritime Cooperation-2021” have started in the Sea of Japan, the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy said
“A joint Russian-Chinese naval exercise, Maritime Cooperation-2021, is being held in the Sea of Japan from October 14 to 17”, – the press service said.
The Russian Navy is represented at the naval exercises by the anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleyev, the Project 20380 corvettes Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and Gromky, two base sweepers, the Project 877 submarine Ust-Bolsheretsk, as well as a missile boat and a rescue tug.
The People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) Navy engaged the destroyers Kun Ming and Nan Chang, the corvettes Bin Zhou and Liu Zhou, as well as a diesel submarine, an integrated supply ship and a rescue vessel.
During the exercise “Maritime Cooperation – 2021” crews of Russian and Chinese ships will work joint tactical maneuvering, anti-mine support units, conduct artillery firing at naval targets, will search and block a submarine of the conventional enemy in the designated area.
