Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the Nord Stream-2 pipeline is currently being filled with gas, hence the pipeline will be ready for launch in the coming days, TASS reported
“Nord Stream – 2″ has been completed. Now the commissioning and filling of the pipe with the required technological amount of gas is underway. And I believe it will be ready to work in the next few days to get it up and running”, – Novak said during a session at Russian Energy Week.
According to him, further situation with the operation of the pipeline will depend on the European regulator. The deputy prime minister stressed that commercial deliveries of blue fuel via Nord Stream 2 may start as soon as the regulator’s approval is received.
In early October, the Danish Energy Agency reported that Nord Stream 2 AG has fulfilled all the necessary conditions for commissioning the Russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream – 2”, after which the company announced the start of filling the first string of Nord Stream – 2 with gas.
