The military training ground in Drawsko-Pomorski in north-western Poland is holding “Victory Eagle” exercise, which involves about a thousand soldiers from Poland and the U.S., reports Polskie Radio
According to the commander of the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized Brigade, General Dariusz Kosowski, the main purpose of the maneuvers is to practice joint actions in conditions close to combat with units of the US army.
The exercise aims to build mutual trust between Polish and US military personnel.
Exercises Victory Eagle are said to last until the end of October and involve practising scenarios for repelling potential enemy attacks.
