The deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, has said that there are sufficient gas reserves in Ukrainian storage facilities to meet the needs of the population and social enterprises during the heating season, he said on Facebook
“There is enough gas in storage facilities to meet the needs of the population and the social sector. There are no problems with it”, – he said.
It is noted that the price of gas for the population is set at 7.42 UAH (about 20 rubles) per cubic meter. At this price Naftogaz “sells fuel to retail suppliers and heat generation companies to meet the needs of the population.
For social enterprises the price of gas is 16.8 hryvnias (about 45 roubles).
According to Timoshenko, the market price of gas is off the mark, but he stressed that the government is helping local authorities to cope with the situation, including through a special price.
