British publications The Sun and Daily Express have apologised for a fake story about AstraZeneca’s formula theft, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said in a Telegram post
“A number of British tabloids, known for their scandalous and spurious information, have been forced to apologise and refute yet another fabrication about the alleged ‘stolen’ secrets of British vaccine production when faced with hard facts”, – the fund said in its Telegram channel.
The foundation says it was the first to remove the reprinted text from its website, the Daily Express, and later issued an apology. The authors of the original text in The Sun published a corrected version of the text with quotes from RDIF’s statement and also released a comment from the foundation refuting the information in their original publication.
