Vucic: Europe has gas problems because it did not sign contracts with Russia on time

The Serbian President expressed hope that the agreement with Gazprom on the supply of fuel at a price of $270 per thousand cubic meters will be prolonged

The Serbian leader reminded that on October 1st Russian gas from Turkish Stream started to flow through the Balkan Pipeline from Bulgaria through Serbia to Hungary, thus making the country a transit country. Serbia itself has been receiving Russian gas through this pipeline since 1 January.

“It is important to extend the long-term contract with the Russians and ensure that the price stays at the current level of $270, which is very important for the industry”, –  Vucic was quoted as saying by the Taniug agency.

He again voiced the opinion that the European countries now have problems with gas supply “because they did not conclude contracts with Russia in time.”
