Prime Minister of Mali’s transitional government, Shogel Kokalla Maiga, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Russia is a reliable partner, the politician said in Russian because he studied in Russia
“My Russian is not very pure. I left Moscow 31 years ago, but I think Russian speakers understand what I want to say”, – Maiga told a journalist.
He added that after years without practice he sometimes lacks a vocabulary, but admitted that he expects to be able to practice Russian in the near future.
He called Russia a reliable partner and stressed that there is now “a group of patriots who want to restore Mali’s sovereignty and dignity”.
