Former head of the European Council Tusk calls on Poles to protect EU legislation

Relations between Poland and the European Union are heating up. The former head of the European Council and the leader of the opposition party “Civil Coalition” Donald Tusk appealed to his compatriots and urged them to protest.

The reason for the dissatisfaction should be the decision of Warsaw to put its legislation above the European one, reports “Ukrainian Pravda”, referring to “European Pravda”.

The Polish Constitutional Court ruled that some elements of EU law do not correspond to Polish law. At the same time, the Constitution is in priority.

“I call on everyone who wants to defend European Poland to come to the Castle Square in Warsaw at 18:00 on Sunday. Only together we can stop them”, Tusk wrote on his Twitter page.

Brussels is already unhappy with the current situation. In addition, relations with Warsaw have been in an aggravated phase for a long time and this situation only aggravates the conflict.
