Ukraine asks NATO to guarantee the transit of Russian gas through the country

Serhiy Makogon, Chairman of the Ukrainian GTS Operator, spoke in favor of NATO’s provision of the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

Makogon hopes that the partners will support Ukraine’s proposed steps to resolve this issue.

Namely: no exceptions to the application of the norms of the Third Energy Package for Nord Stream 2; guaranteed preservation of the physical transit of gas through the territory of Ukraine with a volume of at least 45 billion cubic meters. m per year; observance of market principles of activity without artificial creation of “bottlenecks”, unjustified reservation of capacities and with transparent tariff setting.
