German regulator threatened the Nord Stream-2 operator with litigation

In Germany, Nord Stream-2 AG was threatened with proceedings in case of non-compliance with EU norms, RIA Novosti reports.

The German Federal Grid Authority has threatened the Nord Stream-2 operator Nord Stream 2 AG with “immediate” proceedings if the company cannot confirm that the pipeline is in compliance with EU legislation.

The regulator noted that all technical conditions for the launch of Nord Stream-2 have been met, therefore, the first string of the gas pipeline may be put into operation in the near future.

In this regard, the Federal Network Office demanded that Nord Stream-2 AG provide complete information and, if necessary, provide evidence that the operation of the first branch of the pipeline will comply and comply with all regulations.

As a reminder, on October 4, the Nord Stream-2 operator began filling the first string of the gas pipeline.
